The Excelsior Standard Boneshaker® Highwheel

Our Excelsior Standard model highwheel bike is probably our best performance style bike. This bike not only incorporates a lot of the original features found on the antique highwheelers like a tapered frame tube, hammock saddle and a pantguard but also has a more modern style headset, which allows the bike to be very maneuverable. Frame and fork geometry follow closely to the antique style bikes as well, to give a similar profile to the bikes out of history. The frame follows closely to the front wheel to give that old style profile but also allows the rider to fit a larger wheel, as the distance between the saddle top and the top of the wheel is much closer than on our other entry level bikes. The saddle is also partially adjustable to allow for a change in the center of gravity, front to rear. This particular model has proven to be very popular for our customers as well as very reliable and durable.
