Penny Farthing Antique Catalogs
![]() |
In 1975 Mel Barron, owner of Ridable Bicycle Replicas, bought the negatives for eleven 1880 Penny Farthing antique catalogs from Clyde Nitz's widow after he passed away. Clyde was very active in the local and National Wheelmen Club and helped get political recognition for bicycles long before the cause became popular. He was also the Commissioner of the Maryland Commission on Physical Fitness. In 1976, RBR had a printer make 1,000 copies of each of the 11 catalogs. |

Please note that time has weathered the catalogs a bit, but they are still in good condition. Some of the individual catalogs are in short supply and we may soon be out of them. The catalogs also vary in length from 6 to 48 pages long.
