Rideable Bicycle Replicas

Bone Shaker Replicas

Boneshaker is the trade name for our Hiwheel. The original boneshaker was a wooden and steel bicycle built in the mid 1800s. Our 'boneshaker' was the hit of several bicycle shows including Miami, New York, Palm Springs and Cologne, Germany. Originally our business was based in Cleveland, then Columbus, Ohio, and then we moved it to Oakland (1973) and finally to Alameda, California in 1987. We build more than 25 different models of 1880 style hiwheels and have sold them to museums, TV and the movies. Our various clientele have included all the Disney Theme parks, Ringling Bros. Circus, Wendy's Restaurants, New York City Ballet, Canadian Museum of Science and Technology, and many others.   Brass plated Hi-Wheel

Most of our sales go to private individuals who use them for decor and for the emotional lift that you get from riding one. Prices start at $799 for the 38" hiwheel. We also build an 1880's style 2-passenger Pedicab and trailer.
